I think this is called Foxglove (?). This was on the Sterling Winery grounds.
Look at the beautiful colors on this Japanese Maple at Sterling.
This gorgeous flower was at a castle - a real castle (more on that later).
Newborn grapes!
This lovely flower was at Peju Winery.
Another fabulous flower from Peju.
Peju Winery has a tree-lined drive. They must be in the process of creating an arbor
since the trees are all trimmed like sticks.
Hope you enjoyed some of the beautiful sights from Napa Valley. Be sure to leaf this site (get it...leave this site haha) and go visit A Southern Daydreamer on this hot Outdoor Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
I love foxglove, it's wild where I live and all along the sides of the highway!
ReplyDeleteYep, the first one is foxglove. Great flower that grows wild, here at least. Saw my first bloom yesterday. Great flower shots!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous foxglove, such a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers. Lucky you to be so close to Napa. Jane F.
ReplyDeleteI have visited this winery once. It is a lovely place. I guess I missed all these beautiful flowers. I enjoyed you taking me along again to this interesting area.
ReplyDeleteI love the Maple. Such a wonderful shade of red.

Wow. Just pretty, pretty, pretty. I'm more familiar with white foxglove speckled with purple, but that is definitely foxglove. The Japanese maple is lovely too. (One of my mom's faves.)
ReplyDeleteYep foxglove, then the first purple is anemone (I think), I don't know what the red one is and the last purple one is scabiosa or pincushion flower. Can you tell I love flowers? And I love Napa too. Can't wait to hear more about your trip.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers and gorgeous part of the country.
ReplyDeleteI love Napa. We go up there every time we visit our family. Your photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. We visited Napa last September and really thought it was wonderful. Have a blessed week. Debbie
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but I like the fox glove most. The colour is just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI spent today in a greenhouse.
Great pictures...I can't wait to hear more about your trip.
