Running with a Guest!

Today to celebrate Vintage Thingy Thursday with the Colorado Lady, I have a guest blogger who will share a vintage piece from his garbage truck collection - here he is...Baby Boy!

I bought this truck in Oregon at an antique shop in Coos Bay. It is made by Tonka and I believe it is from the 1960s.

This is the oldest truck I have in my collection.  I have about 30 different garbage trucks that I have collected since I was 3 years old.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out Vintage Thingy Thursday to see what other wonderful vintage items are being shared today!

  2. What a great truck. I never had any of these products, but I have seen them over the years with children playing with them. That is an interesting collection.I participate in Pink Saturday. Beverly, our hostess, likes us to feature a blogger we have not visited before. I would like to introduce you this Saturday to all the pink ladies. You have a nice blog.

  3. Why Baby Boy what an awesome collection you have there. I'd love to see more of it someday. I can remember my brother playing with Tonka trucks and they were practically indestructible. He never had a garbage truck though. Great post!

  5. I remember lusting for Tonka trucks as a child. I didn't get any because I was a girl, but I never missed the opportunity to play with the one's I saw.

  6. That's an interesting idea for a collection. I remember playing with dump trucks, though I didn't have any trucks myself.

  8. Great truck. I have a few from my childhood and I display them in my son's room with toys put in them. They are a little too sharp and rusty for him to actually play with so I keep them on top of his bookcase though.

  12. GREAT truck! I remember my brother having lots of Tonka Trucks in the 1960's. My sisters and I would ride Barbie in them as often as we could get away with it :)

  14. I've been looking for a metal truck at all the sales for over a year and if you find one the price is toooooo high. I love yours and you are lucky to have so many. I've seen them decorating for Christmas with trees sitting in the back and a wreath on the front bumper. So Cute.
